Well, hello there! Glad you could join me. My name is Kelly Anthony -- a born-and-bred Texan, originally from Houston, now residing in Bryan-College Station.
THE RECIPES
I'm an experienced recipe developer specializing in comfort food. You'll find recipes with a hearty Southern influence around these parts, and more specifically from Texas -- Tex-Mex, anyone?
Quality ingredients, flavor, ease, and your success in the kitchen are of the utmost importance when I am in the midst of creating (and writing) a new recipe. These are tried-and-true recipes you can trust, and they're perfect for both the dinner table and entertaining.
At least three new recipes are released at TAK every week, and you can count on them to feature real ingredients and deliver to your table the most flavor, in the most efficient way possible. These recipes go out in our weekly email so be sure to hop on that, for that if you haven't already!
Have you made one of my recipes? Tell me about it! If you have questions, ask away! Nothing brightens my day more than your comments. I personally read them all, and I love hearing from you! We can chat via blog post comment threads, Insta, or YouTube!
OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL
In addition to writing at TAK, I've performed countless televised cooking demos, and we've since taken the on-camera work over to our YouTube Channel.
There, you can watch our best recipes come together right before your eyes. Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss a thing!
THE STORY
I originally started TAK as an at-home bakery in 2010, specializing in fine cookies and bars. Six years later, after building quite a collection of beloved recipes (both baked goods and comforting classics), I decided it was time to broaden my horizons and move the business to an online format.
Goodbye, thousands of cookies every December. Hel-lo, food blogger.
If you'd like, you can read more on that story. (I happen to think it's kind of a good one.)
PERSONAL LIFE
I'm a wife and mom of two precious little girls. Most of the time, I'm a "work-at-home" mom -- developing recipes, photographing them, and writing. So. Much. Writing!
Recipe development is by far my favorite part of the job, and I feel very lucky I get to do it from my own home, surrounded by family.
I love food. And, I love people. Mostly, I love feeding people. This is one of my greatest passions. All the recipes you'll find here were approved by a discerning foodie husband, as well as my forever guinea pig children, family, and friends.
Another facet of life I feel incredibly passionate about is our church's worship ministry! I've served on the praise team for years and adore every moment of it.
If you've made it this far, thanks for reading, and I hope you'll come back again soon. Happy cooking, best wishes, and so many blessings to all!
