Pear, ginger, and vanilla play along perfectly together for a beautiful and refreshing fall cocktail.
Apples and pears immediately come to mind when I think about seasonal fall flavors, but if you ask me pears really get the short end of the stick. Why? I can’t imagine. They’re sweet, just a teensy bit tart and possess lovely floral undertones. I decided to throw a little love their way and showcase their juicy goodness in festive spritzer form.
Now I know when many of you think fall cocktails, your mind may tend to lean toward the hot toddy side of things, but I live in Texas and can’t count on cold weather making an appearance, so a bubbly pear spritzer it is. In this recipe, we will be using a sparkling pear cider, vanilla vodka, and a ginger liqueur. It is simple to create and even easier to drink. Enjoy.
- 1 oz Vanilla Vodka
- 1/2 oz Ginger Liqueur
- Juice of Half a Lemon
- 4 oz Sparkling Pear Cider
- Fill a fluted glass to the top with ice. Add vodka, liqueur, lemon, and cider. Gently stir. Garnish with a star anise, if desired, and serve.
