Ingredients
1 ½ouncesblanco tequila
1ouncelimoncello
½ouncesimple syrup
Juice of ½ large lemon
Juice of ½ lime
Ice
For the Rim (optional)
Granulated sugar or kosher salt
Lemon or lime wedge
Instructions
If using a sugar or salt rim, run a lemon or lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip the rim into a shallow dish of sugar or salt.
Fill the prepared glass with ice and set aside.
Add the tequila, limoncello, simple syrup, lemon juice, and lime juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, or until well chilled.
Strain into the prepared glass and garnish with a lemon or lime wedge, if desired.
Notes
To Make a Pitcher (8 Margaritas)
Combine 12 ounces blanco tequila, 8 ounces limoncello, 4 ounces simple syrup, the juice of 4 large lemons, and the juice of 4 limes in a pitcher. Stir well and refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice in sugar- or salt-rimmed glasses.
