I love honey mustard, and I’ll be the first to admit I completely abuse it as a dipping sauce. I love dipping chicken nuggets in it, love dipping fries in it…and believe it or not, I even love it dripping down the sides of a cheeseburger. I know. It’s bad.
I’ll eat it on a fried chicken sandwich…
I’ll definitely eat it on chicken breasts with bacon and melty Monterey Jack cheese…
And, I’ll absolutely devour it drizzled all up on, and alllll over a bed of leafy greens…
And really, truth be told: I’d probably go as far as to lick it off a cardboard box.
Yes, I am a honey mustard connoisseur, and my obsession has led to one of the greatest and easiest homemade honey mustard recipes ever. All you really need is a little mayonnaise, yellow mustard and, of course, some honey. Mix it all together, and bing-bang-boom, you’re done! And yes, it really is that simple.
This is a mild and creamy version that requires few ingredients and whips up in no time flat. Please, enjoy!
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- Pinch of Kosher salt
- Pinch of cayenne pepper optional
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, honey, mustard, salt and cayenne. Whisk until well blended and serve.
