Let's take that fruit tray to the next level with this sweet and tangy Cream Cheese Fruit Dip Recipe. It's oh-so-fluffy and insanely easy to make. Plus, with each bite, you'll pick up on just the right amount of lemony essence, thanks to the simple addition of store-bought lemon curd.

Unlike other recipes out there, this one is perfectly delicious right off the bat. You don't have to wait any length of time for all that flavor to be delivered straight to your tastebuds. Plus, there's no whipping cream and absolutely zero tedious, time-consuming kitchen tasks.

This quick-fix dip is perfect for potlucks, parties, brunches, showers, or even as a fun and easy addition to a family night in or an after-school snack. We love savory dips like Mexican layer dip, crab dip, and Velveeta dip, but there's just something about a sweet, light, and creamy fruit dip that's especially irresistible.

HOW TO MAKE CREAM CHEESE FRUIT DIP

Since this is a Cream Cheese Fruit Dip, we'll start with the cream cheese. You can use low-fat or full-fat cream cheese, although cream cheese fruit dip made with full-fat cream will have a richer flavor and fuller mouthfeel.

The most important thing is that your cream cheese is at room temperature. If your cream cheese is cold, it will not properly mix with the other ingredients. If your cream cheese is too hot, the dip will turn out too thin, and likely runny, and you will not be able to enjoy it right away.

To quickly soften cream cheese and bring it to room temperature, unwrap it, place it on a plate, and microwave at 20-second intervals. You'll know it's ready when it's easily indented with a gentle poke of your finger. For another cream cheese-based dip try our Caramel Apple Dip.

Once you've got your cream cheese ready to go, add it to a medium bowl, along with the marshmallow fluff, lemon curd, and freshly squeezed orange juice. And if the marshmallow fluff is your favorite part, you'll definitely want to check out our Marshmallow Fruit dip!

Many recipes call for orange juice concentrate for a burst of citrus goodness, but lemon curd adds an elegant and delicious twist to this dip. And don't worry, it should be easy to find near the jams in your grocery store.

However, we aren't leaving the orange out entirely. Fresh squeezed orange juice lends this dip just a hint of fresh orange flavor and gives it the perfect consistency.

Marshmallow fluff is also great for keeping that just right, dippable consistency intact, but if you don't have any on hand, you can use ⅓ cup of powdered sugar to sweeten things up.

Once you've got all the ingredients in the bowl, use a handheld mixer on medium-low speed to mix until the dip appears perfectly smooth and creamy.

WHAT TO SERVE WITH FRUIT DIP

Of course, this sweet and creamy Cream Cheese Fruit Dip goes absolutely perfectly with fresh fruit, but make sure you're serving it with fruit that's easy to dip. Avoid overly watery fruits like watermelon, peaches, and oranges as they will water down the dip and it won't stick to them well. We recommend you pick your favorite fruits that are easy to dip and won't make a mess on your guests (or family's) hands as they partake. Here are some of our go-to's.

  • Strawberries
  • Grapes
  • Apples
  • Pineapple
  • Melon
  • Bananas
  • Kiwi
  • Berries (Blueberries, Raspberries, Blackberries)

Try making a fruit charcuterie board with some crunchy additions. Pretzels, animal crackers, graham crackers, and especially Nilla Wafers also make excellent dippers for this Easy Cream Cheese Fruit Dip Recipe.

CREAM CHEESE FRUIT DIP VARIATIONS

Change up the flavor of your Cream Cheese Fruit Dip by omitting the lemon curd and fresh squeezed orange juice and subbing in one of the following combinations.

  • make it chocolate: Add a ¼ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. The vanilla will balance out the cocoa nicely and add a little sweetness.
  • make it orange: Add 2 tablespoons of frozen orange concentrate, thawed, and enjoy a creamsicle-inspired fruit dip.
  • make it berry: Use strawberry cream cheese in place of regular cream cheese and add 3 tablespoons of strawberry preserves for a very berry treat.
  • Serving in the fall? Add the sweet notes of molasses to your fruit dip by using a ½ cup of brown sugar in the place of marshmallow fluff, along with a ½ teaspoon of cinnamon. Deliciously seasonal!
